Are you sure? Generally the urls are generic but have some tracking parameters apended related to your account. But keen to see if the core url (without tracking) can be used.

We can likely backwards engineer the url params from the referral links we can generate too - maybe you can substitute in your uuid from that url.

The flip side of their post is also a cautionary tale about NOT posting links that might be “targeted” (not just CC related).

Some of your personal details might be embedded (eg FF#) but also, someone else could click thru and register / deregister you for something you didn’t intend to do! Lots of targeted hotel promos are single click registration.

To add some clarity to this discussion - using a site like what I have linked below, we can break down how amex links are created.

As an example for you all, I've used my personal targeted link to sign up for a Biz Gold / Plat with the $200 / $300 discounted annual fee respectively and entered it into the site. The "query strings" at the bottom are what we are looking to replace.

The theory is that by modifying the letters after the query strings, we can see if the promo is valid for others.

If the person above wanted to share their link without the identifying information, they could enter the targeted url into this site, and then share the following info from the screenshot:

1. hostname
2. path
3. query string words (any words on the LEFT hand side of the query string section, in this case we want to be told PCT, mrsourcecode, spid, and sourcecode). You wouldn't share any of the words under what I have blocked out.

Then we can cross reference any of these to see if we can create our own "targeted" offers.

I hope I've explained this clearly.

Asked why and said because in June I was denied access to Plaza Premium and Amex lounges in DFW and a Priority Pass lounge in LGW due to overcrowding. While I had been annoyed at all the devaluations over the last couple of years, the inability to access lounges really sealed the deal as it’s one of the major points of the card right?

I didn’t go fishing for a retention offer and it wasn’t offered (and I was clearly serious as I’d emptied the 800k rewards points the day before). I did about $110k per year but it was personal spend not business so probably not very profitable for them.

Question - my All+ appears to have been renewed and new stay plus added… do we think that will hold or be reversed?

Will definitely hold, had it twice in the last 2 years as i've upgraded/downgraded between me and P2.

I have a reverse problem. AMEX are going to cancel my QF Small Business CC (it will no longer be supported post Sept this year ).

They’ve offered me a promo for the QBR card (half the fee for first year and 170,000 QFF points (QBR pts strictly speaking), if I spend $6k within 3mths, but I’m not sure I want one of those cards as I’m winding down my company.

I used to get regular offers to upgrade an old personal QF Gold CC to the QF Ultimate card but those offers seemed to have dried up. I’m wondering if they’ll come to the party with one of those plus some points?

I got around to applying for the QBR card (and promo 190k pts) mentioned up thread since my existing QF Biz AMEX CC will be withdrawn/cancelled next month.

When I completed the online application it said “thanks, we’ll get back to you in 5 to 10 biz days”! By which time I’d be OS…. Anyway, they called me to clarify the business sector - I don’t recall entering one but it was different to my current card. Sorted and card arrived last week. Clocks now ticking to spend $6k - which isn’t that hard but for now, I want to focus spending on my direct crediting QF cards to try and get PC one last time. Mind you, one of those is the NAB VISA Signature CC that’s having the points earn “enhanced” come October…

I do not have an existing Bus card and unlike you I have not received a points offer. I see no advantage to holding a business card at all when my current cards offer better points accumulation and benefits.

The QBR is quite decent earning (for now) but for a hefty fee (first year will be half). Oh, note to self to call them in ~12mths and see if they’ll do something to reduce the fee or I’ll cancel.

I’ll miss my QF Small Biz CC. Still 1pt / $ uncapped for annual fee of $160 (that I expense)…
