Amex Centurion Card eligibility in Australia

I’m still struggling with it. It’s a trophy card for sure but can’t bring myself to downgrade. Im
Waiting until we see what further changes come in October after the ‘reforms’ kick in.

I think though the continual devaluations are basically telling us all we need to know. They don’t value our business and the outsized AF. If they can’t make money from that AF, they’re doing it wrong!!
I don't understand how this is a "trophy" card. It's a card! I see uses if you can't be bothered booking stuff yourself or you spend so much that the extra 0.25pts justify the fee.

Yes maybe I'm salty that I can't get one 😜
 
18 yo girl at the cafe is going to be equally unexcited about any card I use

Last week I bought something from a store. Went to pay and the terminal came back "Declined - Invalid card" or some such.

Asked the young lass (maybe 20yo) "Oh, you don't take Amex?"

What's Amex?

"American Express"

Uhh, I'll ask my boss. [waits] Yeah, she said we only take cards issued in Australia.

I couldn't be bothered explaining so I just paid with a Visa.
