Amex, Business Charge Card benefits and conditions (travel ins)

Do the reserve points post to the same rewards program as the charge card? Is it a business or personal card? It's hard to get information.

Reserve has same points structure as Charge. With a Personal Charge it credits to Ascent Premium but not 100% certain it will link so possible it could be Ascent
Ive not heard of a Business Reserve

I don't think you get a free companion card with the biz one either - whereas with personal you used to be able to get the Reserve for free which also has a travel credit - though I cant see any mention of that any more

At first glance there appears to be a FOC additional card. No mention of companion (CC)

The ability to apply for Reserve was not mentioned in my Personal Charge pack so may still be possible

The process of setting this card up has been a pain. Turns out the Amex person in Sydney doing my application, misspelled my email address (used an “s” instead of a “c”. This meant trying to deal with a very twangy / nasally girl in a Philippines based Call centre. The obsequious language that passes for politeness is annoying. And why oh why do they not teach the phonetic alphabet to their call centre staff? Ok I’m just being grumpy now.
In any event, what should have been a short on line process turned into a tedious and unnecessarily long process. Mind you I still had to change my postal address, no one listens to me when I say I don’t want mail being sent to my home address.
I digress. So far I have been able to set up the following
1. Subscription to the Fin Review
2. New Avis number. (My old one has been working fine for years , so no big deal)
3. I “think” I am registered for the travel credit......
4. That’s about it.
There doesn’t appear to be the plethora of Hotel loyalty programs I have read and heard about. I can see this is going to be a long process. Hilton and Carlson the only two I can see so far , yet to

I think with normal Amex card can transfer FF points to other programs not just Qantas.
