Q&AA: A new world-class partnership

I like this. I think that in AA, LAN, and EK, Qantas has selected the perfect partners in the airline world. I understand that the trans'pac AA offering will be good quality. And apart from dodgy old domestic planes, I actually really like the AA experience. Not in Y though :)

Edit; pity though they gave those infamous IT students carte blanche to design the web site - how about less design "flair" and something actually usable....

I think the difference may be in the definition of "usable". I'm finding the latest generation has different perceptions of that.
YMMV

Happy wandering

I like the idea of the website, but it doesn't explain much.

I'd love it to be truly simpler & fairer across the pacific... ie same access/rules whether you are travelling on a QF or AA code across the Pacific.

Curious. On the AA side the longer features are called 'films'; on the Qantas side, they are called 'movies'.

Its nice QF & AA are in bed together more choice, what is not nice still, just a smidgin of J/F award seats for the zillions of loyal QFF members

Shame its only double points out of AUS. Have a LHR to JFK flight i am planning in J.

Is there anything new in this announcement? I only very briefly glanced at the email before deleting it, and all my AA flights have to date been booked on AA and coded as such. Is there any benefit in them being QF coded, and to have them QF coded do they need to be connecting to an Oz flight?

Cheers.

I was searching on some fares to the USA the night before this email. After the email, the prices for the same flights, same days seems to have gone up by about $1000. Surely this cant be a coincidence.

That's called joint services agreement, or for those playing at home, a cartel.

Does anyone happen to know if you can still be eligible for the double points if you use 'book now, pay later'? Couldn't see anything in the terms.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
