I have 260K of Westpac Altitude points which I think can be changed to Frequent Flyer points - about 130K - would that be good move?

I think I will put mine into VA and SQ when I need them or if there is a bonus transfer offer.

Bonus offer into SQ? Jeez wouldn't that be a god send. I have given VA life cove - they have abandoned MEL to LAX like whimpering pansies - never again will my klakker be parked in a VA seat.

Back to SQ bonus upon transfer - have they ever done that? If yes when was last occasion pls?

Belated welcome to AFF wwom8447!

That would be a good move if you had a need to go somewhere now.

If not then leave the points in Altitude and wait for a bonus deal or until such time as you need to use the points for a flight.

Yesterday I flew VA to Sydney in a pretty new A330-200 and there were 17 or 18 seats taken out of 24. My son is coming on the midnight express using my Velocity points for J both ways.
So far only VA have done the transfer bonus and in recent times that bonus is no longer 50%. I did get one that large.
With SQ I will have a third family account to increase our redemption nominees shortly.
Three points per dollar to SQ Kris Flyer was the best ever from Westpac back when they started.

Yes but that wasn't a 'bonus pts on transfer promo' it was just the same as current Alt Black promo of 2 x pts on all eligible purchases for first 3 mths.

TBH I cannot remember any promo of bonus pits on transfer of Alt or any other pts to SQ but I might be wrong

No I have not seen one either going to SQ.
Have you tried sending Altitude points to anyone else other than SQ and VA and did that work out to be a very good idea?

I have given VA life so they will never be going there - SQ will be receiving ALL my Alt pts going forward but don't need them as yet so stockpiling. Might continue to run down Citi stockpile I think.

Where would you suggest to leave biggest stockpile cove? Westpac or Citi?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Transfering from WPC to VA would be good to redeem EY new J to Europe either A380 or 787 from Brisbane

125,000 One way J and 187,500 F.

Have been looking lately and reasonable availability online J, but for F you have to call VA.

When I rang a few weeks ago there were no F availability 11 months out.

May get better once the novelty of the new cabins wears off.

In terms of the OP I agree with other posters, keep your points with WPC until you need them.

They are very quick to transfer to SQ

I have 3 warehouses of points namely WBC, Citi and Amex Premier Rewards in the US. Have not needed to transfer out of WBC as I rushed to zero at Citi Select when they implied that they could reverse ATO points. I have struggled (tirelessly) to use those points on Suites flights and I still have quite a few left from 16 months ago.
