Alternative to TripIt = TripWaffle

I didn't know the photo thingo had changed, but noticed it recently killed the majority of images for the lesser travelled places (i.e Flinders Rangers, Airlie Beach, Tasmania(?)).
It's a bit of a work in progress, but I'll look into this one.
We're deriving location from accom/flights but we don't determine exact location of events for historic trips, so it may be a little funky in this case.

Another new release is trip documents. Accessible via widget at the top of a trip....

We already had event specific docs, but this is for more general documentation e.g. eSTA/ETA/Visa stuff, insurance, or whatever.

You can also email these pdfs/images to robot now to have them end up in the right place.

At present the ios and android apps cache *event* docs for offline viewing. Caching of *trip* docs will be in the next releases.

Is there a way in TripWaffle to indicate whether or not I am a traveller on the Trip? In TripIt I had a bunch of trips from a family member that I tracked. I suspect the stats from their trips are included in the overall stats

Successfully imported all of mine from Tripit but as the post above I have all the trips that were shared by friends which I would like to differentiate to sort out the stats

Can't reliably detect that from the tripit data, however simple win: there's now a toggle switch in 'edit trip'

Hope this helps.

@tripwaffle I'm adding/editing some historical data/flights, and this one from 2006 isn't having it's flight duration calculated correctly:

It should be 3h 25m? Not sure where it's getting 2h from? But I guess this will affect the stats too?

Don't judge me on Jetstar, I was a backpacker and didn't get my flight game together until a few years later 😅

Ha, you haven't lived until you've flown a Jetstar flight to Bali.

Thanks for picking this up- turns out we had the "Australia/Hobart" timezone associated with around a dozen secondary VIC airports instead of "Australia/Melbourne". Ordinarily this wouldn't matter, however for pre-2008 dates, Tassie's DST started ~4 weeks earlier than Vic's 🫠

Should be fixed now anyway.
