So it seems like the q streaming product is still making its way into the international rotation. VH-EBE is operating a few Singapore rotations in the next few days.

I think until EBM and EBN are done (and they have 4 of the PIFE models) this will continue
When is the next refurb'd plane due back?
EBM about 19-March, then
QPG and EBN both about 15-April by my estimates
Cool. Still a little while to go then!

From next weekend PER/AKL rotations are operated by a refurbed aircraft.

Got stuck with an unrefurbed aircraft this week returning from Tokyo to BNE on Tuesday night. Extremely disappointing with the old skybed basically having no cushioning at all, felt like cotton stretched over steel, entertainment screen semi broken.
Adding to the retro feel was the joy of being served by an old style crew member - one of the hate the world, hate Qantas, hate the Passengers type - who are relatively rare these days.

Yep, I'd wish they'd keep the last of the unrefurbished for domestic sectors: 2-3 hrs is a lot more tolerable than 7-8hrs, particularly when the longer sectors cost a lot more too.

Just by way of comparison - MH is rolling out new suites for their A330s. According to their advertising, all 15 A330s will be refitted between March and September 2016. From their route information, looks like one plane about every two weeks: Experience - Business Class - New Level of Comfort | Malaysia Airlines
