All Mel flights grounded due to storm 16/2 4 pm

Hrm am flying with the competition, however flight isn't until 7 (assuming it actually goes on time, which may or may not reflect reality). Are they serving decent wine in the J lounge these days?

I was on QF619, BNE-MEL and got stuck 2m from gate for hour and a half.
Funny thing is we were 30 minutes late departing BrisVegas because "somebody" forgot to load the luggage.
Had we been on time we would have made the gate and disenbarked happily.

Didn't see or hear anything of the storm but the Crowne Plaza lost all power apparently.

Wow this is a first, your flying QF and I flew VA!!!

J lounge was crowded but nice - lovely little Riesling they've got going at the moment (though was surprised at some of the wine choices, QF have gone a little downmarket with their selections )

i've been diverted to Avalon; no lounge here! We came in just as the storm hit; lots of being thrown around and the runway was in sight but we had to abandon the approach. Held in a pattern for over an hour before we had to divert due to fuel. It seems we exceeded the threshhold for turbulence so the plane has to be inspected. So we're all waiting for a bus now.
