ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

$20 is $20 ... however, this year my expiry is December and I already have 40 BiB nights, so the 20 bonus from a Voyager subscription at €125 (with 'gift' discount) [$203] may be better. I can re-subscribe to ALL+ next year when looking for BOGO nights ...

Receiving reminder (marketing) emails from Accor prompting me to turn on automatic renewal.

I wonder what incentives might be derived from doing nothing. What is everyone choosing to do?
The price is going up by $20… locking in prevents this?

Each month you are not a member saves you $30.75. You can sign up again anytime. Plus, if you sign up on the 1st day of the month you effectively get that month for free, so 13 months for the price of 12. This seems like the best value for money, if you don't mind not being a member for a month.

Correct - this is me. No sure on forward Accor bookings after my membership ends, and will wait until I know before signing up again. Only thing that could be problematic is if I want to make a high value booking and miss out on up to 15% off the rate, but often the discount difference is not as great as this

Yes, but no indication it keeps the rate down in subsequent years, just moment in time. As others (@aikman )point out it can save you more each month you do not need the subscription and have not auto-renewed. Suggests to me Accor is having trouble marketing the subscription having offered recently in the same month free subscription if you provide the names of 3 potential members who then take up the subscription, then following up within a fortnight with a targetted refer a friend for a meal deal. Marketing is running around like a mad woman's breakfast.

That’s not taking into account RHR savings, I usually snag two a month!

Are the RHR rates global?
No, it’s an Explorer benefit in Explorer countries only. I do 120 nights a year with Accor so looking at all opportunities to reduce cost.
