On paper, there is a limit of 30 nights that will count. However, there is an implementation issue with the China versions of the product.I thought Accor no longer allow free nights to be counted towards Platinum?
I read it as a 30% discount on subscription to ALL Accor+ Viyager, the benefits of which are less attractive than those of ALL Accor+ Explorer (and the benefits would ‘t be stackable with those of Explorer?!Don't know if it's worth a thread but i just noticed that there's a new(?) platnium gift that rewards 5x uses of a 30% off Accor+ Explorer to share. Once chosen it says expiry is end of 2027.
I wonder if it'll work on our own accounts!

Oh you're right! Completely missed that then, strange gift haha. Good thing i wasn't fussed on the rest anyway.I read it as a 30% discount on subscription to ALL Accor+ Viyager, the benefits of which are less attractive than those of ALL Accor+ Explorer (and the benefits would ‘t be stackable with those of Explorer?!
Can be as few as 4 if you manage to redeem the 2 free nights for more value than the cost of the membership - which i managed pretty easily. How many nights a year would you need to stay to make Explorer membership worthwhile? I expect I could make use of 8-10 nights a year, maybe more if the savings added up.
My regular Mantra (Albury) has just rejigged their restaurant to modern Greek with great coughtails so I can expect to eat there now (not previously). I am expecting to head up or down the coast from Sydney in a shoulder period to make use of the free nights. Can be as few as 4 if you manage to redeem the 2 free nights for more value than the cost of the membership.
If there is some work travel there then yes.I'd expect the annual fee is tax deductible.
Currently 30 % off meals and 15 % off drinks? Now there is a decent restaurant in Albury Mantra I'd spend $120 on meals and $60-80 on drinks, so that equates to a saving of $36 and $15-20 on drinks, average $50. Staying 4 nights so maybe 2 nights eating in at hotel that's a $100 saving. If there is some work travel there then yes.
I dont use the dining benefit that often, but if i do its a bonus after the free nights and gold status.
You get 10% off just by being a free ALL member though, so your room rate saving is actually only 5%.Room rate is around $930 for 4 nights x 15% equates to a saving of $139 + restaurant saving $100 is $239 just for this one stay.
Thanks for the reminder; the discount is 5% so saving would be 10%. Leaves the room saving as $93. With $193 saved you'd need to stay twice to recoup the $349 fee. Still better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick. You get 10% off just by being a free ALL member though, so your room rate saving is actually only 5%.

All savings vary from 5-10%, it’s the old up to 10% marketing trickYou get 10% off just by being a free ALL member though, so your room rate saving is actually only 5%.
Point taken. I think it could still be worthwhile joining even for my intermittent hotel stays. Cost recovery in two trips if I have calculated it correctly. All savings vary from 5-10%, it’s the old up to 10% marketing trick
It's up to the individual hotel to advise ALL. Some restaurants are very good at it, some not so much.Is it just me or is Accor really poor at crediting points to restaurants outside of a stay? Maybe it's the fault with the individual hotel, but I've been at the Ternary Bar at Darling Harbour twice now, and in each case, I had to file a missing points alert to Accor. What about everyone else?
Up to the individual properties so some can be slow and others not bad.Is it just me or is Accor really poor at crediting points to restaurants outside of a stay?
