Airports you've never left! (Well... only transited through!)

Well I can now add MIA to the list and can argue for SJU.

With SJU I arrived, caught a taxi to the local Hampton Inn hotel and then returned to the airport the next day without leaving the grounds.

DFW - about a dozen transits and only 1 stopover, forced due to a late arriving flight from LIT
ORD - about 6 transits
NRT - 1
DPS - 1
LGA - 1
DEN - 1

I can now add DXB - 2

Good thread! I can think of surprisingly few:
KUL x 4
MUC x 2
DFW
LAX
DUS

I'm not as travelled as some but:
SIN 8
FRA 2
And my favourite was AKL flying Herc air. The ramp was down for 10 minutes to deplane a few kiwis

HBA - today for my MEL to HBA part of a DSC run I am in the middle of, tomorrow I will be back in HBA again for 40mins doing the same thing.

Well this brings back memories,

AKL,NAN,HNL,LAX all on one flight "Welcome to flight TE Sux......" in Y, SYD-NYC. Managed to get a shower at the 'Showertree'(?), HNL. First big trip.

Since been to HNL & LAX though, but it was a great first flight.

DEN
IAD
SIN x4

And MNL, AUH & ATH hopefully later this year.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

There's suprisingly few transits where I've never left the airport;

SCL x 3,
KUL x 3,
MIA x 1,
NRT x 1,
YVR x 1,
DEN x 1,
HAM x 1,
MUC x 1.

There's also two where I've gone landside but only for o/night stop then continued the next morning;

DFW x 4,
ORD x 3.

I spent around 30 minutes in KTA a few months back. It was so hot walking from the plane to the terminal I decided to go straight back to Perth.

BNE x 3. One in BNE was re-routed from aborted landing in MCY due to fog and the other 2 were status runs.
STL x 1.

There have been a few airports I have never left. But years later on I have gone back and visited the city so I guess they don't count.

The only ones I can recall are Cebu Philippines, Vienna Austria and Chicago O'Hare USA.

My recent trip to LOTFAP I racked up the following...

LAX 4 times (have left the airport a few years a go but not this trip.
LAS 3 times
MIA 3 times
ORD and LGA 2 times each

On a separate trip HKG once.

As I am a leisure traveller ... I find it a bit of a waste to just transit especially if I have never been to that destination, so I always make an effort to stopover. I have only ever transited at one airport, that is AMM, but that transit was only added on to a DONE fare to milk some extra miles/SCs.

SIN, MAD, BNE. I am sure DXB will be on there in the not-so-distant future now that QF is routing through DXB.

I had the chance to stopover in SIN on my way through to MUC in a few weeks. Instead I decided to book a side trip from SIN-NRT for the reasons that (1) Tokyo is more exciting; and (2) the chance to be on the 787.

I quite like stopping by and having a look at places... that PER and ASP are the only places where I've passed through without leaving the airport.
