Looking at options to get from CDG to St Germaine for 2 PAX. We arrive at CDG on AF257 at 06:00 am on the 5 July 2023, and tossing up between private transfer and taxi. I like the idea of the private transfer as the driver is waiting for you and already has your hotel address. The only downside I can see is if the flight is significantly delayed the driver may not be there. Have looked at Paris Private Shuttle, Airport Taxi Transfer and T2 and price varies from EUR 60 to EUR 75. All seem to get good reviews.

With a taxi I assume they will be readily available, but there may be a wait time depending on how busy it is. Also language may be an issue, but we will have a printout of the hotel address. Taxi's are also cheaper, but not by a lot.

Has anyone had recent experience with this. Any thoughts, suggestions or recommendations are welcome. Thanks all.

@Scash Our last trip to Paris in 2019 we use the taxi, the rank was easy to find and we do this mostly as we never know how long customs/immigration can take.
Never an issue with language and I know Marais to CDG was fixed price €50 back then. I can't remember if metered or fixed from airport to hotel.
Am sure others will have more recent experiences. Happy travels ✈️

I was in Paris twice last year and used a G7 taxi each time. Highly recommended and they have a fixed price (though it's usual to also tip about EUR 5 for a drive from the airport to the city, whichever service you use). Not all G7 drivers speak English but most do, and if they don't, a printout of the address will be all they need.

IMHO the extra EUR 10-15 for a private transfer is a waste of money, but each to their own!

[Edit: Also you can book G7 taxis, through their website]

I would go RoissyBus then Métro, but each to their own.

Don't let any driver pretend they thought you wanted to go to St Germain en Laye if you actually want to go to St Germain des Prés.

Thank you all for your replies. Some very helpful information given. We were last in Paris about 5 years ago and flew Emirates J on a points booking so had chauffeur drive.
