Airport Lounges in India

Given the new Delhi Terminal 3 opened in the last two weeks and nlagalle was there last week, will accept his word with respect to Delhi T3.

Both AMEX lounges (DEL (1D), BOM (1C)) are located in domestic terminals.

Sorry I should have been more exact. I was referring to International, which T3 opened less than 2 weeks ago and isn't open yet. Domestic is still open only because it is still running in the old terminal.

The article referred to international and Domestic.

I was there the week it opened.

Hi.. not sure if this question belong here...

Next week I am going to Delhi from SYD via Singapore on QF ticket (SIN-DEL-SIN operated by Jet Airways).
I am flying Y but I am SG with QF.

Do I get lounge access in Delhi? if yes which one?
Also, generally what is the recommended reporting time before departure in Delhi? Have heard shocking stories of delay at Emmigration/Secuirty etc..

thanks

Hi,

Next week I am going to Delhi from SYD via Singapore on QF ticket (SIN-DEL-SIN operated by Jet Airways with QF code share flight #).
I am flying Y but I am SG with QF. (OW Sapphire)

Do I get lounge access in Delhi? if yes which one?
Do I get additional baggage allowance (SG get 10kgs etc.) while checking in at Delhi?
Also, generally what is the recommended reporting time before departure in Delhi? Have heard shocking stories of delay at Emmigration/Secuirty etc..

thanks

I think No, while (presently) an FF partner, Jet Airways is not in oneworld.

In the future as an SG you would will get access in Y if flying Kingfisher (presently a oneworld member elect). Kingfisher lounge in T3 opens in August but I suspect no OW status benefits until it becomes a full member (the lounge will be use by oneworld airlines based on travel class as well)

Hi All,

Just wanted to share my experience after my question above.

I had no trouble with Lounge Access in Sydney and in Singapore (both directions).. In Delhi 9W don't have their own lounge (maybe not opened yet as airport is new) and send their Premium flyers to a paid lounge. This is not available to Qantas members.

So in summary.. 3/4 ports have lounge access.. except Delhi..

and oh.. BTW.. the 10Kg extra lugguage allowance from Delhi was no problem (even though I was over by 4 kgs).. but check-in staff confirmed that they follow Qantas polciy and SG are allowed 10kgs excess allowance..

cheers
