Hello all in the wonderful world of AFF!

I am travelling on HA452/261 through to OGG via HNL on September 13. It's a reasonably important trip as I'm hoping to (all going well) marry my wonderful Canadian fiancé in Maui. On this trip I am travelling with said fiancé, as well as another couple which happen to be the Matron of Honour and one of my Groomsmen.

Here's the thing. I am VA SG and am therefore entitled to myself +1 in the NZ Lounge in SYD upon departure. Being the good guy I am, I also want to try and get lounge access for the MOH/Groomsman. We are all travelling economy comfort, and if it help the fiancé is *A SG via A7, as is the groomsman.

I'm happy to pay for access, but again not sure if this can be done.

Anyone who can assist will receive the thanks of a grateful groom!

Cheers

From memory you can pay for access if it is not busy at 55$ a person.
Just checked still can according to this page. International Lounges - Lounge Information - Koru - Airpoints - Air New Zealand - Australia Site
If none of you drink then it is probably not worth it. The lounge is nothing impressive usually just some sandwiches and the infamous hotdog cart.

As HA isn't a member of *A it looks as though you would have to pay for everyone except yourself and fiancé.
The Koru lounge in SYD isn't really worth paying to get into. You would be better spending the money in the Terminal on a few champagnes and nibbles IMHO.

EDIT: You could try contacting VA and see if they can offer a couple of passes or maybe post your dates in the relevant meeting thread here.

Best Wishes for the wedding

I would second that without hesitation. The Koru lounge is very tied and basic. Food is very average and the wines and champers are acceptable but not the best available from NZ. Even if you can buy your way in it would be better value if the money were spent in one of the cafes/bars on the concourse.

Ive read many times that the Koru lounge is basic and tired but for those that don't get to see inside a lounge unless they are guested, its still a win for them. Many a co-worker has done the 10am champers and FB photo because they can.

I would contact VA/Koru and see if you can get two passes on the basis its a wedding flight for. You wont know until you ask and congrats!
