QF priced the PER-ASP route in $$ at such a level that economy classic rewards were a "great deal". Then they scheduled only on the weekends....
Alas visiting the grandchildren now requires many more thousands of miles wandering

I don’t know why QF were unable to make Network fly PER-ASP, possibly F100s don’t have the range, it was daily 717 until the NJS base was pulled in favour of Network
 
I was considering this route, but ultimately went PER-ADL-ASP on VA for an upcoming trip.

It will be interesting to see whether it will operate long term, with a smaller plane than the Qantas service
