I'm assuming that the former airlines that were shareholders of Virgin Australia no longer have a stake. How does that affect the booking of flights. For example, a flight to Chicago was on VA to LAX then Delta the remainder of the way. So Velocity members were able to use the Delta lounges. Will all this change? I know it's not possible at the moment but should we be expecting that to change? Similarly, with SIA. Even though I wanted to fly on VA to LAX I would always book using the Delta booking system for a number of reasons.
1. The flight combinations and pricing was so much easier to navigate and it made it so easy to identify the cheapest times to fly. Maybe by selecting a flight through JFK it would be cheaper than taking a more direct option and the arrival time may be more suitable.
2. It was always cheaper and not at all confusing as Delta used the IP address of the computer to display the prices in the local currency
3. They didn't charge any credit card fees

So, if it does change, I'm going to miss the system that I became accustomed to.

Virgin are keeping their partnerships with SQ and DL, although the DL one has been paused.

In the last round of updates, Delta lounge access was still listed as available.
