Was looking through some photos and whilst I’ve always thought the SQ livery looked understated and classy, today it struck me as being a bit… stale.

Which airline liveries do you think are most in need of a refresh?

Personally I’d suggest:
1. ZL
2. SQ
3. CA

Then there’s the whole question of LH who took an iconic livery and it refreshed it to be… insipid.

Whoever was responsible for dropping the yellow from LH should be sent to jail imho. On the flip side, while many like to ridicule Qantas for making ever so tiny changes to their livery and font from decade to decade, I would in hindsight argue that it actually has kept the livery fresh and contemporary.

Who else needs an update? KLM comes to mind though please don‘t drop this colour. Quite a few of the Chinese carriers look stale and old- a bit of an update wouldn’t harm most of them.

Agree with Rex.

Maybe Korean Air. (Yes, I know they just got a new one...)

Zip Air too?
Zip Air only recently changed theirs. The prior one looked too much like what the Russian's were using on their tanks going into Ukraine in 2022.

Refreshes can also be clangers - some examples above. But who remembers the disastrous BA change when they replaced the coat of arms on the tails with all sorts of different tail designs / colours. They were supposed represent countries or destinations but were just confusing…diluted the BA brand image and didn’t last long.
