Airline food reality

Actually - with the exception of the Etihad offering... the economy meals look pretty good!

There are plenty of advantages with economy meals... cooked all in the one dish so they have plenty of moisture retention. They're usually still hot when you get them. And they probably withstand sitting around for 24 hours better than the premium cabin offerings.

The difference between classes should be a whole piece of protein in premium cabins, vs the 'shavings' you get in economy. Although that doesn't always hold true these days.
 
Cuisine, like inflight entertainment, is, IMHO, a way to pass the goddawful time. The best meals in economy are those that have the most gizmos, take the longest.
