Aircraft type for Aria Suite SYD or MEL to HKG.

Attempting to book Aria suites from MEL to HKG in June 2026, I choose CX104, which is reported to be a 777-300ER by all reviewers. However, when I click on Aircraft details in the Cathay website, it states the plane is an A350-900. Does anyone know if this is a mistake or should I go ahead and book based on the flight number?

November is showing 77K being used for HKG-MEL, Should we be concerned? These are non aria 777s, right?

CX163 is the Aria flight - some days they have 3 flights, with the third being a non-Aria 777. (Most likely CX105)

CX105 and CX163 both showing 77K, not 77J and CX135 is A350

Hmmm, where are you seeing this?

CX163 is the only of these flights still on sale all 30 days of November, and on Cathay's own website, every day is 77J.

I'm seeing this on the Cathay website with their timetable feature. Strange when I go make don't bookings it shows 77J for CX163 but timetable shows 77K.

Either way I was just confused I didn't know they were doing non aria suite 777s, thought it was either A350 or aria suite

Ah, that explains it then!
Looking there - yes the timetable may be up-to-date as they say, but the aircraft types just take you to generic pages - 77K just happens to be first in their (oddly arranged) drop-down.
