AirAsia has just launched new direct flights from Sydney to Bali on sale now for $119 each way.

Price matched with Jetstar less 10%

Business class for $399 seems pretty good too.

I would ask if JQ will price match Air Asia Business for Jetstar "Business class", but actually I think Air Asia has a much better product anyway.

Jetstar have now matched - $109 each way. $70 for the plus pack.

I've booked a long weekend between courses, minus the plus pack - not worth it anymore since the increase. Now how do I stay awake through my course when I arrive in at 0650 from a JQ Y flight

Certainly no shortage of cheap flights to Bali at the moment! Tiger were also doing some good deals yesterday (I believe these fares have now been withdrawn).

I made a JQ Price beat booking last night (for a simple SYD-BNE sector) and the agent mentioned that my booking was the first he'd done that evening that wasn't a TT price match to Bali! :D

Its Price Beat (by 10%) but it's not on Business class

From their website

  • The Jetstar flight you’re comparing must be:
  • An Economy Starter fare. We won’t price beat our other fares: Economy Starter Plus, Economy Starter Max, Business Class and Business Class Max fares.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Turns out JQ have pretty much matched that price anyway. I'd still choose Air Asia for the flat bed.
