Whose fault is that though?Shame it's grammatically incorrect ('Air New Zealand is an extremely well run airline').

I'm assuming Air NZ quoted AJ verbatim.
It raises the question, why did the AA guy flying with ANZ??!!

True, but it's a bit like the president of Mercedes buying a BMW. I'd have expected he would fly to SYD with QF, and then QF back across the ditch.Probably the same reason most people currently fly NZ J across the Pacific. The product isn't a market leader, the price is kind of high and there is NO award availability, but they have a monopoly on direct flights from the USA to NZ at the moment. (All the more reason for AA/QF to launch flights!)

Not really ... AirNZ dumbed down their "Business Premium" to Qantas level a couple of years ago. ... before that (for the first year ag5ter the intoduction of the 77W's) they had the best J soft product out there. Not surprised the AA CEO flew Air NZ... Ever compared QF A380 J to Air NZ J? QF comes out far last (in my opinion at least) ...
they should have given him bronze status, giving him elite is disparaging to the fliers putting in the flights to get that status ...![]()
