Air NZ ex-Australia sale

Was eyeing off fares to Houston for a conference; $1200 is a great price to not have to go via LAX/PHX/DFW etc.

Wow. $4500 in Business from SYD-LAX in September is a bargain.

I found a fare last year for SYD-LAX return for $4099 on Air NZ Business (and booked it)! I'm tempted by this sale, but Virgin Australia is also under 5k for LA return.

Fares ex AU to the US will follow the exchange rate this year
