I was pretty happy with the $1720 odd I paid on SQ to get to Moscow. But then I have to add my flights from Townsville to Brisbane then from Moscow to Kazan on top.

How's this for a good deal though, my girlfriend booked our Thailand holiday through a Russian tour agency. Flights KZN-BKK-KZN, transfers to Pattaya & 12 nights in a decent 3 star hotel for $1300 each. :)

Yes - its a real bummer that the Air North flights from Townsville to Darwin don't work at all with the Silkair flights Darwin to Singapore - if they did it would be a fairly fast and cheap way to get to Singapore without the stupid backtrack to Brisbane, once you are in Singapore then there are obviously lots of options to get to the rest of the world.

Yeah it's a shame. I think the Air North flights connect well with the Jetstar Bali flights though.

I will try not to drink too much vodka on our flight to Bangkok so I can remain coherent. ;) I like the idea of being able to buy duty free and drink it on the flight. :) Though I think i'll need it, Nordwind 767's are 2-4-2 arrangement.

Nothing wrong with 2-4-2 in a 767 but the seat pitch of 28-30" means that you will be well advised to take (and use) the medicinal vodka. Would love to see a TR too if you have time...
