FORMER 1980s high-flyer Geoffrey Edelsten has emerged as a potential white knight for the troubled airline Air Australia.

The investment would be the latest in string of purchases during a six-month spending spree that has so far yielded the entrepreneur and deregistered medico an Indonesian coalmine, 1200 US properties and a Caribbean casino.

Strange couple... and instead of it being divestment, I see his investment policy as foolhardy. He is already trying to pull out of one investment claiming he was mislead... does seem to indicate the level of checking done.

Not half as awful as it's going to be later when SWMBO tells you your fortune :shock: - assuming she's travelling on the same flight as you.

Where on earth has Geoff got all the money to buy goldmines, casinos & airlines? Not to mention 42 flatscreens in his MEL abode. I have trouble keeping up with one remote, can't imagine trying to corral 42 of them!

She's only 28. Too young to be truly high maintenance yet. Once Geoffrey teaches her the high life she'll be high maintenance for the next husband.

I didn't think a SWMBO was ever too young to be high maintenance!

I think Brynne is a very nice person however when she appeared on Dancing With the Stars she was subjected to the usual Aussie tall poppy syndrome & they crucified her. To her credit she copped it sweet which is more than a lot of people would have done.

I remember back in the 80's when he had newly acquired the Sydney Swans he bought his (then) wife Leanne a pink Pantera sports car with the personalised plates "FORMY21" as in for my 21st birthday. That was when they had heaps of cars & lived in a mansion at Dural.

The car even makes a fleeting cameo appearance in the 1986 video clip of Warwick Capper pretending to sing.

Didn't realize she is tall enough to be lopped..... doesn't rate on anything of interest to me.... But I guess the TT/ACA crowds love it!
