Rumours of them getting to Syd, but no details

I believe they are having a fight with the Airport in Kl about fee not paid. Suspicions is the Govt doesn't want them competing on one of MH's most lucrative routes.

I believe they have paid the outstanding fees to Malaysia Airports, just a regulatory hurdle now. Someone might want to correct me on this though.

I like the look of their new seats too.

AA issued a press release a few months back that they had paid their outstanding fees to MAHB. It got a bit of media coverage at the time due to the discount MAHB (apparently) gave them. (Google AA MAHB fees)

There are a few articles around speculating that 1 July is the date, though AA are yet to confirm - they are pushing for Seoul concurrently.

They re-jigged their schedule when announcing this weeks sale. They have dedicated a lot of their fleet to their India onslaught. They're also trying to introduce new zealand to Kul via ooc.

IMHO, Sydney will start in August, that's when they reduce the Melbourne service in August, this plane will be re-routed to start Syd --> kul.
