I was advised this morning by KF agent (there was a memo) that AI is upgrading their system and they are not allowed to make any AI flight bookings, including commercial bookings. They could see award availability with AI but just can't book it. Apparently, this is the case since March this year. I did a follow up call later in the morning and the shift supervisor confirmed this information. Anyone made any AI flight bookings in the last 5 months or so?

That is certainly bizarre, especially if - as you say - this has been the case for 5 months already. How long does it take to fix something like this?

It's definitely still possible to book award seats on Air India using other Star Alliance programs, so it appears to be a KrisFlyer issue.

I'd also be interested to hear if anyone has managed (or tried) to redeem KrisFlyer miles on Air India recently.
