Waterco is combining Davey Pumps into the Waterco computing system to remove duplication. It is going ok.Probably they can make 25% larger profit in 2027 by using Malaysia for more manufacturing.
Energy Action is emerging from a long period of fails. They are now doing work on some large corporates as their software is working very well.
Acumentis has had to change from doing mostly bank valuations as some banks now want that done for $45. The Jimbo budget with CGT changes will help drive up business demand.
I had better say we have quite a few shares in these three.
The previous folks involved in running Wiluna which is WMC should be avoided.
Want to look into GDG which is Generation Development as Challenger has interest from a Japanese shareholder. GDG need to accelerate profits.

The original WMC (Western Mining Corporation) did well back in the day! Amusing to see the ticker code back and used by someone else. Keen to hear more about what you heard re Acumentis, Energy Action and Waterco

The quality of management and quality of assets of the new WMC, compared to the old WMC, is like comparing chalk and cheese.

Not everything goes according to plan when you invest in the stock market. With larger stocks you can get in and out typically in a day or two.
`Smaller stocks are often illiquid so you need to be careful.
Similarly some LICs, REITs and some ETFs.

You just need to look at the daily trading price graph to see some have really chunky movements.

I am seeing Turaco Gold and Solstice at a Perth function Wednesday evening.
Applied for shares in Turaco Gold SPP this morning‎ and applications may get scaled back.

Still watching SX2, it has fallen further than I thought it would, will be interesting to see how much lower it goes. Still a hard one to value.

Looks like David Jones will likely go into voluntary receivership tomorrow after failed negotiations with their landlords, continuing trading for now but I feel sorry for the employees. Of course it would be a different story if they still owned the buildings.
Surprisingly Scentre SCG only down less than 1% atm

That's sad news!

If they can (and that's a big question mark) refill the space with smaller stores it's upside as the department stores often pay the lowest rent / sqm.

And note it hasn't been listed for over a decade. Initially bought out by South African Woolworths, then later sold to Anchorage Capital (firm who made a mistake with Dick Smith)

Much as I personally prefer shopping in store - IMO stay clear of bricks and mortar retail spaces. Westfield SFO went from Flagship to basket case in a matter of years…Google it - very sad.

Very glad I got out of SCG and WFD a couple of years ago.

I really like my local DJ store , it has halved in size but is beautifully presented with a good range of stuff.
Do I buy anything there? well aksherley not much.....the adjacent Myer store has an even bigger range and cheaper prices….
Retail is a tough gig nowadays, we were just in bcf looking for some wet shoes for swmbo, she found an Ok pair that fitted at $77.
By the time we reached the checkout I had price matched Amazon @ $45 and Wildfire & $49..they refused to match amazon but price matched wildfire
