AFF Member Stock Discussion

Yes @moa999 we were told that Virgin were very over subscribed so we thought we may get none. We won’t race to get more unless the issue gets heavily hit with early sellers.
Now yesterday that Vita Life Sciences jumped on almost no actual sales which is unusual. That is VLS.
Aspen Group SPP closed on 10th June where the issue was at $2.90 and the shares have gone up a lot. We are expecting a scale back for our 5 holdings in APZ.
Lower interest rates have been helping share prices of property companies so our CQE and CLW CharterHall shares have firmed up.

I don't see much movement now.
I think the market expected the Israeli attack. After all a while ago Israel took out Iran's Air Defence Systems. Only reason to do that would be planning air attacks.

Today we are trying to double our holding in the Turaco placement today at 44 cents. The placement was being rushed according to my broker.

Another day and we are bidding into the MEK placement at 15 cents.
Waiting to hear how we went with Turaco placement.

Yesterday the ATO accepted our capital gain workings from the sale of our business 21 months ago. Nice letter from the Deputy Commissioner that I should frame.
We did get some TCG and MEK in placements this week.
I gave up on Impedimed which was IPD.
Looking at CYC whether to sell.

ASX:VGN (The company formerly known as VAH) has gone a little over $3 on its first day (back) on the ASX.

Commbank! $187.11 at the moment.

I was left some Commbank shares when Dad died, passed to Mum, then when she died they were split between my sister and I.

My parents both took more shared instead of dividends, not us though. I always thought I would pass them on to nieces and nephew, but, I'll kick myself if they drop down again, I know I would be in for a huge CGT, and I must admit I wouldn't know how to go about selling them.

Sell now, pay the CGT and buy some again if they ever drop? We honestly don't need the money at the moment, but they can't keep going up like this, can they?

I remember someone on this forum saying they couldn’t keep going up at about $115. Funnily enough they haven’t reminded us of that prediction!

I’ve certainly sold a few of mine recently and if they hit $200 will probably sell a lot more. But to date predictions of a share price drop have proven very premature!

The market is completely irrational at the moment. Bad news equals good news on the share market. Just insane
