We still have about half of our WEB and SYD shares and will let these ride.
Mrscove still has our original Qantas shares from the first issue. She is not a seller.
I was up at 4am doing stockmarket filing as we spent yesterday afternoon doing meeting proxies.
This week I want to go to the Finbar meeting and Mrscove wants to be a NO SHOW. My questions should relate to their lack of gross profits and what they are going to do to make better margins.
@MARTINE the opening up of travel may have some bumps.
We are hoping for better times for our hotel investments in Sydney at the Novotel Sydney International and Greene Square Veriyu.
We did get some FYI when the share price got slammed.
Acumentis are trying for $60 million in valuation services this current year so that is reasonable growth.
Calix and City Chic are some of our brokers favourites.

I bought a lot of WEB in their issue last year and sold about 1/4 last year and another 1/4 last Monday at $6.80 (dropped the next day so timed pretty well). Overall (ex March last year) it’s been a great stock, have sold a few when it’s high and bought back when lower so overall very happy to be and have been a holder longer term. Having said that I think it’s currently fairly fully priced, can’t seeing going much over $7 this year.

Really depends on your timeframe and similar true of most travel stocks, but I do think the move to online purchase of travel is not a temporary one and WEB is therefore very well placed longer term.

Today Apollo AOP has a takeover bid from Ramelius.
Next we are bidding on Propel Funeral placement as we have never previously seen a good entry point in the past. That one is thru Bell Potter.

No Propel attracted us as it is an industry consolidator. Have a read of their 2021 Annual Report as you may be impressed with the numbers. For us we have to wait patiently to see if we are successful with our bid this morning.
Tried to get some Cromwell at the end of the day but missed them by a smidge.

We did get less than half the Propel shares that we bid for but we upped the bid quantity so we are happy. It is possible for these shares to test the $4.10 issue price. We would consider buying a second chunk at $3.90 to get a $4.00 average.

@Buzzard that ABB issue was too strongly supported....It will be refund city for lots of shareholders.
For gamers have a look at Pentanet which is 5GG. Not being gamers we don't always understand the excitement.
This isn't financial advice......
Now we have Acorn ACQ wanting to expand their LIC.

There was an ABB offering? I really should take more notice. My employee shares were a right pain to get a hold of after I left ABB. I couldn't pay the brokerage fees (or whatever they were) for the EU Computershare with any of my credit cards. And no other payment option. I ended up escalating to the Aussie Head of HR, though they told me that former employees really should be encouraged to sell their shares. :/

Aussie Broadband had an offer for existing shareholders at $4.00.

Tonight we took up our two Hannans entitlements as they are in the money.
We bought some more Rubicon Water and we did finally get the Firebird shares which is FRB.
We missed the De Grey placement as we ran out of time for [email protected]$1.10.
We don’t follow ABB but it seems lots of AFFers use them.
Started considering the Acorn ACQ one for four issue at $1.60. Acorn has done very well this year.

In Listed Investment Companies we have Ophir, Westoz, Ozgrowth, Long Short and Acorn. Each has done ok in the up market.
Another takeover bid for Apollo by GOR this morning.

Hoping to get to Strike Energy, Firebird Minerals and a couple of other Annual General Meetings being held around Perth this next month. The Finbar FRI meeting was quite worthwhile as i talked with both the CEO and his builder.
Might ask some good questions at both Strike and Firebird meetings as those boards have tried hard to unduly enrich themselves in my opinion.
Telstra has dropped quite a bit so i might let some go.

I have been trying to work out why Telstra has dropped as their doesn't seem a logical reason.

@I love to travel we think it is more sellers than buyers this month for Telstra. We bought multiple parcels when @Buzzard mentioned that he thought they were a buy so our work office and some of our accounts bought at sub $3.10. We all banked the dividend of 8 cents franked so that was sweet.

I purchased 2 parcels of TLS and I'm hanging on for the time being as the dividend is still pretty good.
I did get some FMG during the week but I should have got in when I first looked. This is what happens when you get talked out of something.

Feeling almost impoverished as we have paid all of our quarterly taxes.
With travel starting to get moving again we might have less time to spend on investing.
Hang on we are based in Perth so travel remains difficult getting out of our hermit kingdom.
We have some FMG shares which are about square with our entry price. We do wish the biggest shareholder would keep quiet instead of doing look at me clips. At least he is not as bad as the Mineralogy chap who is more than painful.
@Buzzard our Telstra gain is quite large so we hope to catch up in 2022.
