We're checked in here and despite a lack of view it's quite a spacious room.

Regrettably I had a work emergency this afternoon, so actually haven't left yet. As such, I haven't been able to fly ahead. I will be on the later service. Hope to arrive at drinks by 10pm.

How much is a taxi from HBA to the city? Or is a chauffeur car a viable equivalent?

Taxi is about $40. Will take aroudn 20 minutes. (Alternatively can take the "Hobart Airporter" bus for $15... but it'll prob take about 40 minutes)
NB: Cash is good coz there's a 10% surcharge for card

Virgin were kind enough to delay my flight by approx 40 mins allowing me adequate time to make it to the airport.

Ran into oz_mark & oz_mark +1 in the VA cupboard (aka "lounge") who were unfortunately unable to "fly ahead" onto my service.
