Ok , now that Im back from my 4 day trip to WLG , Im now looking forward to HBA this Friday . As I'm heading down on Friday morning , hiring a car and plan to spend the day exploring some of the East Coast before heading back into HBA in the late afternoon , I was thinking that on my way back I could possibly swing past HBA airport at around 5pm and pick up a few AFF'ers that may need a lift into the city . I only have a small Toyota Corolla , which could accommodate another 3 people + bags. If you would like to grab a seat on Flight GW001 , just drop me a PM …. 2 more sleeps :p
Thanks for the offer gwilli1. Straitman has kindly offered* blackcat20 and I a lift, but I am sure there are others who would be grateful.

*depends on interpretation :D

I can be flexible with the time before 5pm , prefer not to do any later as I'm keen to be having a bevvy or 2 when we kick off at 6 .

A couple of teasers for Saturday night's dinner:

There will be a surprise guest speaker - well, he was surprised when I asked him the other day.

There will also be some prizes thanks to the generosity of AFF, QF and VA.

I am getting a little bit excited - 2 more sleeps.

Just did the same thing , although could only get 6F on VA in the morning . Will try to change to row 3 when i get to the lounge in the morning . Either way not overly concerned as i currently have a shadow .

I've checked in for my flights tomorrow, 1F, 1D and 1F.

Now just need to get home and pack my bags.

I have also checked in last night - 2D and 2C for this old duck.

Checked in on QF1015 and, 27 hours out, got seq nbr 44

Who's in 4D on that flight? Anyone from here?

WOW, lots of connecting passengers.

I think this is the default HBA flight for DXB and LAX connections given the earlier one is "too tight" for a connection.

Which flight are you on MEL-HBA?

I'm on the later VA one, but may try to fly ahead if I can get out of work early enough.

Enjoy everyone.

As expected I wasn't able to get away. I was even asked yesterday if I really need to take time off over Christmas as there's stuff they want me to do.

Doesn't bother me too much. I'm on a daily rate :)

VA leaving Melbourne 1630.

There's a slim chance I can move all this forward tomorrow too :)

Look forward to eventually catching up.

Curiously they aren't selling that flight (or my flight either) any-more, but the seat-map on EF has a healthy number of empties (presumably not yet allocated pax ??).

  • OLCIed for my flight last night
  • Name tags are done
  • I have packed my rollaboard
  • Mona ferry ticket printed

I assume the PDF attached to the email is important seeing as it's got "BOARDING COPY" on it. I suggest you PRINT THESE. I am not sure what the situation is if you forget to print your ticket, so please don't forget...

Now, what am I forgetting? :p

Don't forget to get to the airport early so you can 'fly-ahead' and join us for drinks.
