Save the date! The 2026 AFF annual member gathering will be in Adelaide from 30 October - 1 November 2026.

This event will include welcome drinks on Friday evening, a winery tour to McLaren Vale on Saturday, and a more formal dinner with a guest speaker on Saturday evening.

All AFF members and their friends & family are welcome to attend. Most people usually fly into the host city on Friday afternoon, and leave on Sunday afternoon. Of course, if you're an Adelaide local, the flying part is optional. ;)

You can read more about the planned activities, dinner venues and costs and post #2 of this thread.

There is a $5 registration fee per participant, plus the cost of any activities and/or meals that you choose to join.

If you'd like to attend, keep an eye out for updates on this thread - and feel free to post your status (see below for more info)! Once you've booked flights and accommodation, please also post your flight/hotel details in this thread!

For those unfamiliar with the AFF terminology:
  • "Platinum" means your attendance is confirmed and you have booked flights/accommodation
  • "Gold" means you're likely to attend but will need to confirm at a later time
  • "Silver" means you're unlikely to attend at this stage
  • "Bronze" means you're unable to attend.
The entire AFF team looks forward to seeing you in October in Adelaide! :D

Registrations are now open!
Please register & pay here

You aren’t aware of the rules for local attendees? You have to take a flight out to be able to fly back in for the event.

( 🤣)
Bugger. I will be crossing the Simpson by car before heading to Adelaide for the do. Maybe if I don’t tell anyone I will get away with it.

Just nominate your last flight before the gathering event. We will all just assume you have applied your normal mantra of "why fly direct when you can connect".

Gold for me, but likely Platinum. Really enjoyed the 2025 Melbourne event. Partner will be coming this time.

For the Accor Platinum members, are we leaning towards Sofitel Adelaide due to their Club Millésime? Or is the Pullman the go? I haven't been to either, so I'm happy to be led. :)

EDIT - I've booked flexi for both but Pullman is currently approx 50% less than Sofitel atm but I’d like to try the Sofitel based on the good reviews of the lounge I’ve read.

And flights booked with today’s dsc announcement. Used my Amex credit.

My flight home will give my LTG.

Quite fitting to get there after catching up with the group of people whose advice helped me to achieve something I didn’t ever think I would.

Yet to discuss with MrP but he enjoyed the last one - too long ago.
I sat next to Mr. P at the dinner. I recall that I thought he wanted to talk about how to publish a book. Only for me to realise in the in the course of conversation that he’d done about 8 to my 3 . I mis heard your intro of us. 🤦

He knows all about you now. I think he's done a couple more since then. 😁. When talking about things I've seen and read on AFF I say that's (name) from Tasmania, Drron, and (name) VPS. Coz you lot are always doing something interesting.
