Can anyone get five in a row? Can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal. šŸ˜›

I don't think I can with my flying history. Would be interested to hear the stories of anyone who can.

I possibly might have 2nd last horizontal row!

Russian built plane took out the vertical row…

What are your five qualifying flights?
I’d have to check - hence the ā€œpossiblyā€. My records aren’t as precise as some other here.

A318 could have been AF or LA. I recall being on one and noting how small they are.

Flown out of La Paz (LPB) to SCL (with 2 stops!)

733 - probably several flights on USAir (there were many old coal fired 737s plying US skies well into the naughties!

Diverted flight due to a cyclone retuned to SYD…

Pretty sure a UA flight YUL-ORD was a CRJ-200

Matt now that you put this out there, someone is going to go and do it :p.

Or maybe there could be fun annual challenges until next AFF gathering.

I will have this as well after my flight into La Paz in 3 weeks. :)
OT: but are you flying from Sea level? It’s over 4000m up! We’d gone over land from Cuzco before flying out. One of the bumpiest flights I’d been on as we flew straight over to the Andes and then bounced through Chile with two stops.

We joked that the pilot might announce we were descending to the cruising altitude after takeoff.

Yeah very aware that La Paz is 3600m. We will be flying from Bogota (2500m) where we will have been for 4 nights. Will be taking Diamox, and the hotel we will be staying has oxygen if needed. I have had altitude sickness before, and it was horrible!

LPB is actually 4063m but yes, you descend 400m to town.
Got 10/25, but nothing in any sequence!
15/20 of think.

I have 11/25 for sure but I don't know what exact kind of planes I have been on in my whole life. BON-CUR is less than 100 miles. I've been on lots of little planes between islands and domestic hops around Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia, Turkiye to name a few. Been to Pakistan in the 90's, flew to KHI and took buses up to the Chinese border and across to Kashgar.

My stumbling blocks are:

A318
Russian plane
Kenyan Airline
Indonesian Airline
Pakistan Airport
Nigerian Airport

So thats 19/25 and no complete column or row 😢

Edit: Whoops - no Chinese built plane either, so thats 18/25

Quick trip to bali on Garuda is needed methinks.

wow guys, impressive. Mine is very paltry - I must be leading a very sheltered life. I’ll post after I’ve had a chance to verify a few things.

How do I find out what type of plane I was on? I have no idea about the Saab 340 and Boeing 747-8. I've been on lots of 747's but no idea about the hyphenated number at the end. I could get 2nd horizontal row. Or 5th vertical row if I could confirm the plane types. Most of my more unusual trips were in the 90's and early 2000's.
