Looks like the latest version of both the Android and iOS App have this problem. It should only appear at the beginning of a session. Apologies.

The difficult one was getting one of those "you have a new message" things which traditionally mean cough/virus/spam. Unfortunately/stupidly i didnt screen shot it. The one i posted above was fairly harmless looking.
Edit: and as long as it's not something I've done is the main thing.
