Aeroplan and TK

I know 'availability' on various airlines through various FF schemes come and go for various reasons, so hopefully someone can guide me here.

I went to use Aeroplan miles on TK IST-ATH for J in November. The only choices I'm being given are Aegean Air in whY or some ridiculous choices on Air Serbia/Austrian Air via Belgrade and Vienna!

So is there an 'issue' with TK on Aeroplan at the moment - that may be resolved in time? Or is TK rarely offered on Aeroplan?

In other words - should I wait to see what happens, or look at a revenue seat?

Check United - if availability is on there for the flight you want, ring Aeroplan and they can sometimes see things that are not on the website
