Aegean Airlines Miles+Bonus introduces miles purchase

Aegean Airlines have introduced a new service for Silver and Gold members of Miles+Bonus frequent flyer programme where you can now purchase award and tier miles to top up your balances.

From Aegean Airlines Miles+Bonus website:

Award Miles
"Purchase award miles...up to 50,000 award miles within your membership year."
"Award miles are sold in sets of 1000 at the price of 25€ per set and can be purchased by all Miles+Bonus members, regardless of tier."

Tier Miles
"Silver members are allowed to purchase up to 1,000 tier miles within their membership year (the twelve consecutive months’ period from the last tier upgrade/retain), while Gold members may purchase up to 2,000 tier miles respectively. Tier miles are sold in sets of 500 at the price of 25€ per set."

At €25 per 1,000 miles, the value isn't that great considering Aegean's redemption chart. But this could become a worthwhile option if they have a sale/bonus mile promotion.
