Hi everyone,

Quick question,

Recently booked a return service for myself and partner from NTL-BNE-LAX, all on a Flexi fare and upgraded to J on all legs with points.

I am a platinum member and had a light bulb moment this morning that I could have used my comp. upgrades for the domestic legs and saved myself the points spend.

Am I able to cancel the upgrade and get the points refunded? Then use the comp. upgrades? Or if you cancel you lose the points?

Thanks for the advice/feedback. Might be a lesson learnt for next time. Don't usually fly flexi domestic so forgot about the upgrades!

NTL - BNE seems like a waste of your comp upgrades but if your not going to use them anyway. Was the upgrade a single for the whole leg or two separate upgrades for each sector. I have never upgraded an international however going off full rewards bookings the points for NTL - BNE - LAX are the same as BNE -LAX.
