Hi,

I am travelling to LA - Anaheim in June with a five year old and a six month old baby. Any recommendations on which Transfer service I should use. Dont really feel like hiring a car and car seats!

I have seen "supershuttle" and "Disney Express" talked about, would these be suitable to travel with a baby on my lap? Or do I have to organise baby seats regardless? If so how?

Thanks so much .... I will be by myself so any advice and direction would be great..:)

Welcome to AFF jetgirl. Will you be transferring to a hotel? If so, which one? That may alter which solution is the best for you ...

I have used Super Shuttle and can recommend them.

2 things - (1) I tend to book a private van so that there are no other passengers in our van.

(2) When our little one was a baby and up until 12 months I took a US purchased baby capsule - it was about USD44 at Walmart. I never took the base anywhere but the top of the capsule can simply be hooked in with a seat belt. This is the one I used and took around the world with us (without the base bit):

Walmart.com: Evenflo - Discovery 5 Infant Carrier, Hula Hoop: Car Seats

Car seats are not required for infants in California when using taxis, super shuttle etc however like most Australians I wanted my baby restrained.

Do you know someone in LA that can buy one for you?

Our baby capsules may not be compatible in US as they don't use the top strap.

Would recommend the supershuttle, easy to find at LAX after clearing customs/immigration and come along at regular intervals, not sure how often the disney shuttle comes along.

Alternativly could look at flying to Santa Ana-John Wayne Airport, and from there only about 15mins to Anaheim and again serviced by Super Shuttle.
