If you use Smartdnxproxy, you can watch aus, or US netflix with one acct. Make sure to have your router to be static routing. Instructions are on their web site. BTW, you do not have limits on devices and male sure all devices you use have their DNS address.
I use Nord to watch Netflix from many countries.

I do to but find Nord is not the best to watch Foxtel while overseas and bought Express VPN which handles the foxtel iPhone app really well. Official Foxtel admin would be unhappy reading this as it is a against the Foxtel rules doing such (contravenes the media rules)

I have it set up correctly, it is just as I stated that for Netflix US they do not give access with only a trial account.

What is a show/series that’s on US Netflix but not available here? (That I can search for to see if I am getting the US version)

I have used IPVanish for a couple of years now.

While slightly pricier than other comparable options, they do have servers in Sydney & Melbourne and worldwide and you can have up to 5 simultaneous connections including iOS/Android. Speeds have been consistently quick so no complaints.

I also use IPVanish and have no complaints. It has great speeds and a zero logs policy so you can browse with complete anonymity.
I was able to access Australian content whilst overseas without any problems. IPVanish is not for you if you’re after a VPN to stream US Netflix

I have IPVanish but it would not work in Peru. Whether it was something to do with the internet access from the place where I was staying in Lima, I do not know, but it was a PITA. I downloaded Private Tunnel Open VPN and that seems to be working well everywhere - but I'm not into downloading entertainment shows. I'll just let the IPVanish subscription run out. Private Tunnel is half the price.

There can be only one.....Express VPN...costs a bit but never blocked, has servers all over the world and works on all platforms including apps etc.

Did you mean an app on typical phones or do you mean an app on say telstra's typical home modem?

you can get Stan for free three months via telstra
I had Stan free for 3 months at the end of '17 and didn't find much that interested me. There isn't much on Netflix either (that interests me), but I went in with the kids for the subscription so I'm happy to keep it

Been using ExpressVPN for years and generally works close to as well as the connection I'm tunnelling in from. Used on PC, Android and iOS with very few glitches on any platform over that time. Major games (I use mostly for Foxtel and sports) can cause a slow down, but to be expected on any VPN I'd imagine

Cheers,
Matt

I have tried many VPNs so far from free to paid, and I must say each VPN have there own pros and cons. Currently, I am using PureVPN and its working good, So far no issues. Also, It does have good VPN Servers Which makes easier for me to access different regions content like Netflix while I am traveling. I have used it in my recent tour in the UK, and it did work good, more than I was expecting from it. Pure UK VPN – Best VPN in 2018 for the UK

A word of warning about NordVPN.

I am currently in Uzbekistan and my current VPN does not have an Australian server.

I thought it might be useful to have a VPN with an Australian server, so I used the link in the AFF article on VPNs to download NordVPN. They do not offer a free trial, but they offer a ‘30-day money-back guarantee’. I thought this would be kosher, so I paid the subscription and installed the app.

No way in the world could I get it to connect to any server from Uzbekistan. I went through all the trouble-shooting, but no-go.

Another well-known AFFer who is travelling with me has been using NordVPN successfully for some time, so he tried. No go. Clearly NordVPN is non-functional in Uzbekistan.

It is clearly not fit for my purposes.

I emailed Nord via their webpage, requesting a refund and pointing out why. No response.

A few days later, I emailed again. Surprise, surprise, no response.

@Admin, @support, @AFF Editor: given that AFF ‘recommends’ NordVPN, are you able to help me to get Nord to honour their guarantee?

@JohnM Sorry to hear the problems you are having. Can you please send me an email (admin AT australianfrequentflyer.com.au) which has all the necessary details such as the date you purchased, the email address you used when purchasing etc. I'll then forward it on to my contact at NordVPN. I obviously can't promise anything, but I do know that my contact at NordVPN has been pretty responsive.
