Hi Everyone,
Group of 3 flying home from Bali to Sydney on QF44 this Saturday. I paid for seat selection for the flight over but there were not 3 seats available to purchase on the return flight. I kept hoping more seats would become available, but this has not happened. ATM my booking does not show the seats we have been allocated, and I am concerned that we will end up in the middle row which I really do not want. Is there anything I can do to find out what seats we have?
Thanks Kate

Qantas holds certain seats for people based on their frequent flyer status.

However, at 80 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight, the seat map is opened up, and most remaining empty seats are offered for anyone to pick.

Again at 24 hours, even more seats are released, and available to pick.

I note you said you paid for seat selection.

If you are a qantas frequent flyer, seat selection is free… unless you are paying for something like an exit seat.

You can join Qantas frequent flyer for free, and then you shouldn’t need to pay! You’ll also earn some point for the flight which you can use later :)

If you have already paid for seats, they should show when you log into your booking via the Qantas manage booking function.

How old are the passengers in your party? I ask this as it is unlikely Qantas would separate you from children.

You might try seat selection again at T-80 hours before the flight (3 days, 8 hours). That is 2:10pm Tuesday 14th.

QF44 on Saturday 17th has the following seat map (solid blue blocks have been allocated).
