Lanson 258 is rated 4.2 on vivino, whereas standard black Lanson is 3.9,

Pulled a Pol Roger 2009 out of the fridge on Weds night to have with the ILs. They were over for dinner, as they do every week, and Thursday was their 60th wedding anniversary. Thursday was also their middle child's birthday, but most of the family went to a nice lunch in New Farm yesterday to celebrate.

This isn't really a recommendation, just a note of enjoying champagne 14 years after we visited the house of Pol Roger together.

PR is a firm favourite of mine. The price of it has jumped up a lot though in the last year or so and I haven't seen it on special anytime I've looked so it's been missing from my fridge for a while now.
