MrGlider and I are headed to Germany shortly and the first legs of our journey are on SQ but with several different PNR's.
I have a standalone booking SQ j PER-SIN as a Krisflyer award from my KF account,
MrGlider has a standalone booking on the same SQ J flight PER-SIN as a Krisflyer award from his KF account,
We then have a 3 hour layover after which we both commence a new SQ J flight SIN-ZRH (then connecting with Swissair ZRH-TXL), however both on different LifeMiles award bookings.
I was wondering if it was worthwhile calling SQ and asking them to cross reference each of our SQ bookings with the other SQ bookings, so that
a) they know that we're travelling companions PER-SIN as well as SIN-ZRH. (I have already assigned seats and BTC)
b) if there is some kind of issue with our connection in SIN (not a real connection, a cessation of one ticket and commencement of another, on the same airline), maybe the extra info would help.
My thought is that if something were to go wrong and SQ were looking at rescheduling people or anything like that, having our flight and passenger relationship info immediately in front of them may be to our advantage. Of course it may not make a difference at all, but if there's any chance it might help us surely it's worth requesting the notes on the bookings?
I was also wondering if the PER checkin agent in PER may be able to check us in and route our baggage all the way through to TXL with our onward booking? I'd love to avoid going through immigration and checking in again with our baggage on arrival in SIN. I'm doubtful that it can work that perfectly though and wonder if this is introducing additional risk that the bags may not arrive with us.
Thanks!
