I have Award Seats booked via Qantas for travel to Europe. I'm use to entering passport details when travelling to the US, but there doesn't seem to be any spot for this in the bookings on either Qantas or Cathay websites. Online chat with Qantas says to provide passports at airport but they didn't know if this had to be done in advance - said to contact Cathay.

Do Cathay need/want my passport details before I front up at airport?

TIA, Steven.

Not required for non-US travel. It does make OLCI easier, that's probably about the only benefit.

Qantas does have advance passenger information. Not compulsoty but error/warning message appears when you enter booking. I provide the information they require including next of kin.
