Some assistance please. I have been using Expert Flyer on a trial basis and my trial time has concluded. I'm doing my one and only OS business trip next week with a dash up to Singapore and back. I've put in a Business upgrade request and was monitoring my chances using Expert Flyer. Last time I looked there were about 10+ J seats available each way. As I'm a very long term WP I'm confident that if there is a seat available I'll be OK. Can someone with access to Expert Flyer have a look and see how the availability is holding for me please.

Sat 7th October Adelaide - Singapore QF81

Thur 12th October Singapore - Adelaide QF82

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

First time I have done this but based on fare buckets (think that is the right term):

QF81 - J6 C5 D6 I5 U0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 T4 X1 E1

QF82 - J9 C9 D9 I8 U0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 T0 X0 E0

Based on the seat maps of allocated seats:

QF81 - 13 unallocated seats
QF82 - 11 unallocated seats

Hope some of that makes sense/helps

Code:
QF 81: J6 C5 D6 I5 U0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 T4 X1 E1
QF 82: J9 C9 D9 I8 U0 Y0 B0 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 T0 X0 E0
The return seems quite interesting with WHY fully sold; as a QF WP, you may be in line for an op up. Certainly your chances of a Upgrade of any sort seem good.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Gents (and I assume that Simongr & Serfty) are of the male persuasion?

Can I get you to have one more look for me on Friday to give me a feel for my chances.

The sceptic in me tells me that I'll probably get my (paid for by points upgrade Sin-Adl) upgrade before they give out the "free" Op Ups. Don't care, just want the comfort.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Here's the current state of play:

QF81: J8 C7 D7 I6 U0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 T2 X0 E0

(Seat map showing 8 J seats unallocated)

QF82: J9 C9 D9 I9 U0 Y1 B1 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 T0 X0 E0

(Seat map showing 10 J seats unallocated)

Looks like a good chance still for upgrades both ways.

No worries ...

QF82: J9 C9 D9 I9 U0 Y1 B1 H0 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 T0 X0 E0

I would say excellent chance seeing the number D class still quoted. Qantas don't expect to sell all the seats.

I know it is off-topic but there is only 1 economy seat remaining for the return?

I was thinking of returning SIN-ADL-SYD in January but if this flight has a habit of being full I need to find another alternative.

The latest status of the flights:

QF81 - J7 C6 D6 I6 U0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G0 T2 X0 E9
(Seat map showing 6 J seats unallocated)

QF82 - J9 C9 D9 I9 U0 Y3 B3 H2 K0 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G0 T0 X0 E0
(Seat map showing 10 J seats unallocated)

JohnK

A quick look for the next week (3 flights) shows tight availability for the SIN-ADL sector. Only a few seats in Y in each case. Looking at early Jan, it is still busy, but a decent number of seats still available.

Looks like it may be a busy route indeed! (Although Jan is in the New Year travel rush!)

Folks,

Thanks for all the help - much appreciated. Tomorrows upgrade has already come through. 1E - thank you very much, very comfortable.

Thanks Mal. It appears that the majority of QF routes from SIN have high loads.

Anyone have any experience with QF flights from SIN that aren't always full?
