ADL Frequent Flyer Poker Event 29/3/14

Thanks shintaro10x. First time I see a poker event advertised on AFF. I will try to pay closer attention to future events.

There's been a couple in the past, but not for a while. Can't recall previous winners. I'd arrange one but I don't have a table/cards/chips.

BTW, if anyone in Melbourne is keen on poker, let me know. I have a shiny table at home that has only had one use (I actually have two jobs, my second one is a poker/blackjack dealer and tournament director for a private company that does corporate casino gigs and pub poker, so i'm always keen to play). I also have an ex-casino Blackjack table, so if anyone wants a mini-casino night, perhaps we can look at something (I only have a very small apartment, but i'm sure I can squish people in).

Drewbles just volunteered his table for an AFF tournament

I volunteered it for a game. There will be no trophies or the like I'd rather a small group of people keen on playing poker than an AFF social gathering (but if they're all AFF'ers, then i'm very much down with that too). $10-20 buy in and you're looking at a nice return for the top 3 (and if they're short tournaments, you run multiples of them so people have a few chances to win).

I wouldn't have an issue with a small buy-in though. A few bucks on the line always makes it more interesting, and if you get 10 or so people, it's a good way of doing it (pay out the top three players 50/30/20% type thing).

To rope in anyone else, i'll say i'll end up dealing most of it. My table is a casino-style table, and it's not really easy for people at either end to deal. It looks something like this:



The blackjack table is, well, that. People sit on one side, I stand on the other =)
