As I have been free loading and inviting myself to the MEL Olive Tree dinners in MEL for a few years, I am now casting the net a little wider @boomy, @Hvr, @tuapekastar, @Goodonya (last minute), @penegal (copper), @Cruiser Elite (the usual suspects), and all the Mods and friends to kick something off in ADL. All I have seen from the ADL members is reasons why they cannot attend a function rather can join. Mrs M is not a member of AFF however is willing to suggest eating places close to what she understands the requirements to be i.e. close to the Hilton, IHG or Marriott chain .

I seem to recall the last time ADL had any type of gathering was the 2018 annual meet up. @Mattg if there is no traction on getting an ADL event on the cards I will be happy to catch up for dinner.
Definitely looking at this one.

I'd say that I am unlikely... Given I haven't worked for about 9 months, I should probably look for a job instead of spending money on frivolity...

Pfft, who am I kidding?

Thanks for the nudge @Matt_01 and to @Mattg for organising. I’ve taken advantage of the VA Y and J sale to book a detour via ADL on my way back from MEL to BNE, as one does ;) Looking forward to attend an AFF dinner, it’s been a while :)

Arrrgh. The one day I can’t do. Unmovable specialist appointment 😕

Or the day before too, as a buffer

Of course, when the Specialist changes the date, that's another matter. :) I'm now booked Business to Adelaide, using Alaska miles, thanks to Matt reminding s the other day about them being able to be used on Qantas. Have to get back on the Sunday, though.

Great - I'll be in Hobart and you'll be in Adelaide 🤷‍♀️

And it still requires an online border application, because, well, because we can it seems.

Bad timing. We will be in HVB that week, and talking about Adelaide the following week. Would love a catch up.

You think it's bad timing for you - I haven't left the state in nearly 15 months and I'll be away that weekend. I'll be back the following weekend though
