I have a FASA SYD-LHR next March. I now need to add DRW-SYD return to it but want stopover Sydney both ways for a few days- there is plenty of classic J seats available for the domestic flight. I have been quoted $2106.68 with no option for points. Does this sound right. It's not a bad price for 2 x J DRW=SYD return BUT I was hoping to do it for 0 points based on distance DRW-LHR being lesser than SYD-LHR and there is no other way on QF to get there.

Any advice appreciated.

I believe all adjustments to ASA fares can only be done with $, not points. The stopover in SYD means you are really booking two separate award bookings on the one ticket. You would only get it 'free' on a Oneworld booking and as long you stay within the same mileage bracket.
