Adding an Amex A/C or 'Account Card'

I have tried searching a/c card, a/c american express card, and nothing has come up but I remember reading about it here multiple times.

I'm trying to set up my A/C card, spoke to Live Chat, said I can do it online which I thought you couldn't. I proceeded to add an additonal card holder the normal way as advised, and one of the terms was 'must not be in your name'. Spoke to Live Chat again, said I had to call. I did that, and they said they have to physically send (can't email) and then I can upload it via the online account.

Was there a way to expedite this process, or is that the only way an A/C card can be added?

I tried a few months back with no success, submitted the form twice both times they called & said they don’t offer the card anymore.
Also that the codes on the pdf form are not recognised anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️

Beware if you have a reduced-fee professional Charge account that they do count the A/C toward the available free supps
Have tried to get one twice (with 4 supps already) and been charged fee, hence cancelled

FYI. Finally after a few tries uploading the form via Document Centre I can see that the A/C card shows in the Statement --> Your Card Activity section (at the end):

Now I just ahve to wait for it to arrive in the mail.

My guess is that the customer services representative that called you had no clue on how to process the form (they seem to be instructed that Additional Cards are no lo her offered since March 2021). When I received my first call, the representative told me they couldn’t process the form because I missed circling “Mr” in the form and was asked to re-uploaded. I immediately sensed that it was his tactic to avoid dealing with this request.

They have no clue what is happening. Can't trace my application and asked me to email newacccountsaustralia. Hopeless.

Mine finally arrived on the mail just now. I suggest that you keep bugging them via Document Centre or the suggested email that you mentioned. It took me 3 tries before someone remotely capable took care of the request.

Just checking are people recommend to add "A/C" after your surname on the application form? Been told on the phone that as a Primary cardholder I can not have an additional or supplementary card under my name. Is the A/C features only available to Plat Charge or does other card types okay too.

IME you can have them in any type of Amex card (at least that I’ve had) though it sounds like they are no longer offered which is a shame as it’s a very useful feature.

You don't need to add A/C after your surname on the form. It's already pre-printed on the form. The card will be issued with A/C printed on it.

Officially not available if you ask the call centre or chat. However there's a PDF form shared earlier on in this thread that you can fill out and send to Amex via Document Upload in Card Management that many members including myself have successfully used in recent times.
