Adding ABN after booking made - will it appear in QBR account?

From what I can tell, I should be able to add a ABN number to a booking that has already been ticketed, and then it should show in the QBR acccount list of bookings.

Is this usually immediate, or is there a batch job to update everything?

In my case, I've done 2 bookings today and last week - none of which appeared in QBR Company Dashboard. I just got off the phone with QF Premium CC, who were, unsurprisingly, unaware of this.

I've asked if they can take a look at this - but I'm not sure if they would ...

Re : Batch - Am not sure, bookings from last week and the week before have not appeared in QBR website. A defect perhaps

I just realised I think my ABN is not registered for GST so the site is telling me that I won’t earn points and that’s probably why the bookings aren’t showing.

Ah yea, the ABN has to be registered for GST ... But you know what, even if your ABN is registered for GST, QBR isn't giving me points for business. I've raised a claim missing points request and it's been 2 months since :( Not expecting anything to turn up soon ...

but, register your ABN for GST and then you'll ideally start earning points

I often add the ABN later, it’s often doesnt show up in the QBR bookings list, and it usually credits the points to QBR.

But it’s not 100% reliable.

I’ve also occasionally seen higher pricing via QBR portal then available when not logged into it (ie. showing higher fare class availability and n/a on E-deals) although to be fair it’s been a while since I’ve seen that.

My experience, actually today, is that QBR actually showed $95 less than QF website. Both logged in while searching. I quickly called the CC and had my old booking refunded (FLEX) and booked using the flights searched in QBR

Now, the question lingers - will the booking I made today on QRB (via the CC) qualify for DSC ??

Any thoughts?

It may have if your previous booking was credited to you and rebooked as a credit and not a new booking, but not if it was refunded to your CC and rebooked as a new PNR today (after the 11:59 25/02 cut-off).

It was booked as a new PNR :( :(

This is how the convo went :

I called the QF Premium CC and said that I had booked a flight last night and now I found a cheaper fare on QBR website. The agent on the phone goes, oh, cool, let me check. He checked and said that, oh yes, if you are booking a flex fare, then you might get a discount. I asked if I could get that fare - he said yes and we spoke about DSC as well. He didn't say anything about me not getting DSC ... during the booking he asked for my ABN and I provided ...

But I do remember him saying that he's going to check if it's possible for him to make a QBR booking and he said that he needs to go to a different application to do that ...

I think I've messed this up !!

Waiting on the line with QF Premium CC <fingers crossed> I've got 40 more mins left !

I'd definitely give them a call as you are doing, as the logic for the DSC promotion is going to be awarding DSC for those FF who have registered during the registration period for a PNR that was created during the booking period on a QF flight. It's possible the agent might have been able to tag the booking in such a way that you'd still recieve DSC, but if that is the case for peace of mind you would want them to confirm that has been done for you.

20 mins and counting ... waiting ... been listening to "I still call Australia home" for the last 10 mins

Update : Finally someone answered the phone after 70 mins waiting on the line. Confirmed that my QBR booking qualifies for DSC, the agent on the phone said so ... so, I'm going to trust she said the right thing ... only time will tell ...

Great news, whilst I feel bad that you spent 70 minutes of your time on a call off the back of my concern, but it's always been the conventional wisdom around DSCs that if the PNR remains the same (gift vouchers, rescheduled flights and rebookings) for a DSC booking you are likely okay, however a new booking outside the booking period is usually not safe, so it does sound as though the first agent you talked to has taken some steps to ensure your booking is DSC eligible.

You will get the DSC provided the traveler was registered as the general offer was extended by a day. You may not get the 500 QBR points that was part of the QBR offering if you registered for that.

Does anyone now how to remove an ABN once its in there?

Not sure if the ABN can be removed, given that the program requires a GST registered ABN as a pre-requisite. But I'm sure it can be replaced by another GST registered ABN. You might be able to change this in your profile. If it doesn't work, you can give the guys a call. I'd recommend doing it after a few weeks, given the Coronavirus rush, if the change isn't super urgent :)

If it helps, I was able to get QFF Premium CC last night around 11:20 PM AEST, only after a 4 minute wait
