Adding AA FF number to QF booking

Hi all,

I've booked a reward flight to NZ for my wife using 20K AA points.

No FF numbers were entered into her booking. As she is also AA Plat, I wanted to add her AA number so that her boarding pass will show the status for lounge access, as our Plat cards havent arrived in the mail yet.

So, following Dave Noble's excellent directions in the Plat Challenge sticky, I went to BA.com, found her Amadeus QF booking, and added the FF number.

Now, when I look at her booking at checkmytrip.com, it shows the following:

Traveler: MRS JamesF
Frequent flyer: British Airways - AA******

This is even though the flights are on QF. Will this show up properly on her booking/boarding pass? Or should it read "Qantas Airways - AA******"? Obviously its a non-earning fare, so not a big deal if its not right, but still would be nice to have it in there and come out properly.

JamesF, the oneworld status doesn't always seem to show on QF BP's where an AA FF number shows (first hand experience with Mrs LW's QF BP's and looking at Press Photog's BP last week).

May be a very wise idea, if the AA Plat card doesn't arrive in time, for Mrs JamesF to have a screen-print of her AA account showing said Plat status.

Don't know why it shows BA - AA... perhaps an anomoly in the system as you used BA's MMB to force the FF number into the Amadeus booking.

It should read Qantas Airways. There seem to have been some changes to MMB which seem to affect the adding of FF numbers.

Given that it is a non earning fare I wouldn't worry about it though
